Dane Design Australia (DDA) has been shaping distinctive homes and buildings in the South West since 1995. Founded by Principal Designer Dane Richardson — born and raised in the region — the studio is known for highly personalised, one-off designs that respond to site, climate and how people actually live.
Based in Dunsborough, DDA works across custom homes, renovations, commercial, hospitality and multi-use projects. The process is collaborative from the first conversation: concept design, detailed 3D modelling, documentation, council approvals, construction management and material selection through to final handover. Sustainable thinking is built in — site optimisation, low energy use, water conservation and considered materials — so each project sits comfortably in its landscape.
With more than 250 projects delivered and a long list of state and national awards (including multiple Building Designers Association of Australia national wins and HIA South West honours), DDA has a reputation for design that is both beautiful and buildable. Dane has also worked on commissions in Indonesia, India and China, bringing that breadth of experience back to coastal and rural sites around Dunsborough, Yallingup, Margaret River and the wider South West.
