Why We Built Looksi
We saw too many great regional businesses struggling to be seen online — either invisible because of algothrims squeezing them out or paying high commissions to big platforms just to show up in a scroll. So we created something better: a beautiful, simple, truly local regional directory that puts our communities first & keeps us altogether in one modern, friendly platform.
Built by locals who understand our regions, our businesses, and our community spirit. No middlemen. No big-tech fees. Just a fair go for every business and a simplified way to support those who really care about their customers, craft and products.

This isn’t just another business directory to us — it’s a true labour of love and a heartfelt mission to strengthen our communities.
We want every local regional business, big or small, to have a real chance to shine and succeed. We also want every visitor to our space on the map to see just how truly special and amazing the South of WA is — through the incredible people and businesses that make it so unique.
Mark
Co-Founder | Looksi Support
With over 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas and Mining industries, and the last 15 years specialising in commissioning and Completions Management Systems (CCMS — the techy stuff), Mark brings a unique skill set to the backbone of Looksi.
Mark’s career began as a qualified Mechanical Tradesperson and Mechanical Technician. Having worked on the tools in construction and commissioning environments, he’s especially passionate about building a platform where tradies feel just as welcome and well-represented as local cafés, wineries, and retailers. He knows firsthand how hard it can be for hands-on local businesses to get noticed online, and that drive is at the heart of Looksi.
A smooth and highly functioning user experience is always top of Mark’s list — that’s the tech stuff he was talking about!
Holly
Co-Founder | Creative Director
Born and raised in the South West, Holly brings deep local knowledge and a genuine love for helping business owners succeed. With 25 years’ experience in small business ownership and management, her special interests include brand development, creativity, and problem solving.
Holly loves nurturing entrepreneurs’ ideas — brainstorming is her passion. She thrives on helping people discover their purpose, play to their strengths, and build businesses that authentically connect with both hearts and customers. Her creative approach and hands-on experience sit at the soul of Looksi’s friendly, beautiful design and strong community focus.
When she’s not working on Looksi, you’ll find her in nature, in the garden, painting, or spending time with her animals. The unique beauty of the South West is never lost on her — and you’ll often catch her passionately rambling on about it.
