🚨 EXCUSES ARE OUR FAVOURITES at Looksi South West 😂🔥
At Looksi South West, we hear the same excuses every single week. So we decided to have a bit of fun and give you the honest, tongue-in-cheek rebuttals to the most common ones we hear.
Here’s your official roast + rebuttal list:
“It’s on my list of things to do, I’m very busy with life.” ⏰
You should see our list 😂 We’re all hectic! The good news? Joining Looksi takes just a few minutes and starts bringing you customers while you’re out there doing life.
“Times are tough, expenses are rising.” 💸
That’s exactly why we built Looksi. We were sick of local businesses getting ripped off with expensive advertising that doesn’t work. We created a fair, affordable platform so every business — big or small — can get visible and capture more local trade.
“Slow season is coming…” 🏖️
This is actually the perfect time. While tourism slows down, you can position yourself in front of locals who are still right here and actively searching for your services.
“We’ll have a think about it……” 🤔
The classic Australian “yeah nah, maybe later” 😂 Don’t overthink it — we’re literally giving you a spot right now.
“I can’t afford to pay…” 🙅♀️
ZERO pressure from us. Grab the FREE Basic listing and you’re live with no cost at all. No catch! We genuinely want every local business involved. When you’re ready to upgrade and help keep the lights on, we’d love that. But for now, we’ve got you covered as a community 🥰
“We assumed it would be too expensive…” 💰
Our $29 Boost package was designed with real budgets in mind. It delivers epic value without the usual marketing sting.
“My business isn’t ‘pretty’ enough.” 📸
😂 Mate, we’ve got tradies in hi-vis standing right next to fancy boutiques and everything in between. You don’t need to be an influencer or have magazine-worthy photos. Real and local wins here every time. Don’t be shy 🤗
“Not into social media…” 📱
Thank goodness! Looksi isn’t another social platform. It’s a proper local directory where people actively search for what you do. No doom scrolls or tricky algorithms.
“We don’t have a bricks & mortar store / no website.” 🏠
No worries at all! Online-only, home-based, roadside, mobile, and pop-up businesses are all thriving on Looksi. Your listing becomes your local online presence.
“I was going to sign up but I got distracted…” 🌀
Story of our lives 😂 Let’s fix that today.
“We thought it must’ve been an AI thing / too good to be true.” 🤖
Haha, nah — we’re 100% real humans from the South West helping local businesses get found. Come have a Looksi 👀
…and then there are the absolute legends who simply say:
“LOVE this! I’m in.” 🔥
Most of these excuses come from a good place — caution, busyness, or past experiences. But the truth is, getting found by more local customers has never been simpler or more affordable. We are hear to support you all the way!
If you run a business in the South West and want to be seen by people who are already looking for what you offer, we’d love to have you on board.
Excuses make us work even harder to build a platform that every local business can love and benefit from 🥰
